DOWAGIAC, MI – Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment arm of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan and Indiana, has partnered with Bogan Developments and Wallick Communities on Lighthouse Ridge Apartments, an affordable housing project located just off I-196 in South Haven Township, MI. Construction is scheduled to begin next spring.

Lighthouse Ridge Apartments will bring much-needed, high-quality, affordable housing options to Van Buren County and feature 52 affordable housing units spread across four buildings on a beautiful 13-acre site. In addition to thoughtfully designed units, the development will feature a club house and a playground. Eleven of the units will be reserved for families of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

The project has also been awarded $1.5 million in competitive 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

“We’re honored to be part of the Lighthouse Ridge project and to partner with Bogan Developments and Wallick Communities in bringing much-needed affordable housing to South Haven,” said Julio Martinez, CEO of Mno-Bmadsen. “This development marks a meaningful step forward – not only for the region, but also for the Pokagon Band. As a general partner, Mno-Bmadsen will help secure dedicated units for Pokagon families through Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) funding. It’s also a great opportunity to highlight the architecture and engineering expertise of our Bodwé Professional Services team and to further our long-term commitment to serving tribal citizens and rural communities.”

“At Bogan Developments, we are committed to building inclusive communities, and this project brings that vision to life for families across South Haven Township – including members of the Pokagon Band,” said Jamauri Bogan, CEO of Bogan Developments. “We’re proud to stand alongside Mno-Bmadsen and Wallick Communities to make elite-quality, affordable housing a reality on the lakeshore.”

“Lighthouse Ridge represents Wallick’s long-term investment in Michigan communities and our focus on partnerships that deliver real impact,” said Amy Albery, CEO of Wallick. “We value the opportunity to work alongside Mno-Bmadsen and Bogan Developments to bring quality housing to South Haven Township and the Pokagon Band.”
